Surveying Crowsong County

Characters: Ishum, Belrith, Raoul

We passed by the dragonman statue for potions, and headed past the quarry to find the tower. On arrival we spotted a tomb in the valley below. Atop the tower were human sentinels , with more outside with wolves. Not to be deterred, Raoul makes the first move, teleporting to the high ground and initiating the confrontation. Belrith swiftly follows suit, appearing next to Raoul to ward off an imminent attack while Naharmatu, melded into the cliff, and burrowed his way up. Ishum had to hoof it up the zigzag path of the hillside.

The battle was chaotic, more bandits poured out of the tower and one managed to topple Belrith off the cliff. He climbed back up and together we stormed the tower. Ishum and Belrith were both downed and if it wasn’t for Belrith’s hammer I don’t know what would have happened. After the finally skirmish, we interrogate a captured archer, though the information gleaned is sparse. The bandits appeared out of nowhere, like the rest of us and their leader deserted. With no further leads we take a long rest in the safety of the tower.

We decide to explore the surrounding region, our respite is short-lived as we are ambushed by undead. Belrith is able to turn them with ease. Venturing further, we stumble upon the ruins of a town and treasure. Camping by the lake we are able to sleep without interruption.

The next day we get lost and find a retainer before getting lost again and finding a boat, more ruins and fields of unmanaged crops. The following night the undead find us again. Ishum leaps onto Naharmutu and charges the giant. Belrith charges past, annihilating the lesser minions and turns around to summon his sacred weapon, downing the giant so we could complete our rest.

With no more appetite for fighting we trudge home to Sophia’s rest
