As is tradition, we immediately get lost and find some old goblin tracks. Getting back on track, we find our way to some burial mounds and tombs, sealed with magic. When we settle down to sleep for the night, we are set upon by wolves, which we take care of, taking some wounds in the process.
Heading north, we discover a shrine to Zeus, which we might be able to reconsecrate into one of our own dieties in future for its boon.
Successfully travelling North for a while, we eventually find an owlbear as we journey. At first it seems like a little bit of a problem, but after questioning where it came from, it seems much nastier suddenly.
Further along, we miss the mountain slightly, but find a ruined village. Something large and nasty was resting perched in these buildings previously. There is a shop, where we find some studded leather armour, along with some cash. We hunker down in a building for the night, and get attacked by the underground little buggers.
We make it into the area of the basin, and discover an underground complex with an empty basin and several statues. With some discovery, it seems that one statue has had a magical Ewer taken from it, and taken to the West into the valley. That statue has a carving that describes that only the faithful can gain the waters. Belrith attempts to use magic on the empty basin. It doesn’t work, but when Trell attempts to push a pot into the basin to collect water, its as though the water is there.
With water in hand, we make a break for the lake, finding the river that leads into the lake and following it south.
When we arrive at the lake, we give the naiad a vial of the water from the basin. In return she gives us a neat tattoo, and the location of a tomb that holds a magical cleric weapon. We then get home safely and get some roads building into the north for ease of travel in future.
