Excerpt from the Diary of a Glass Man
I’m honestly not sure how, but I got roped into another adventure. This time we were doing something unthinkable, we were going to rid ourselves of the possible menace to the north that… I guess it was the Green Dragon of the Drakemarshes. I can’t believe we actually felled the creature. It’s been an interesting few days.
We travelled up to Eagle Precipice and stayed the night before heading out on our adventure propper, and I believe Belrith and Rusty would be proud, somehow with two trackers who talk up their skill… we still managed to get lost nearly immediately. They directed us into the mountains instead of into the swaps as we intended. We saw a rather vicious site as we came across an ogre that had basically been pinned to a tree and killed. The tracks nearby indicated something… much larger had done the deed and I for one would not be unsurprised if it was a fire giant if they had made their way to this plane of existence, to trifle with one back home was to court death. Thankfully we made it back down into the swamps proper before needing to find a place to rest.
The next day, we came across some… very angry plans. I believe they are known as vineblights. We managed to deal with them, but it was draining. I believe fatigue may have led us to the mountains again, or lack of attention, we tromped around again in the mountains for the better part of a day before finding our way back into the swamps and again having to rest for the night.
Another day of aimless wandering and discovering more swap and less dragon, we rested again, however that night our sleep was interrupted by spiders covered in little twig-like creatures. Illai suddenly transformed into a spider, and appeared to scare them off. One of them however seemed to see when she turned back into her elf-self and decided to attack. The next day, as we attempted to navigate through to the swap cave to investigate it further, we got turned around and went to the planes to the south. We were ambushed by a Shambling Mound and a Troll which took their toll. After several days of swap travel, I was very happy when someone suggested we head back to Eagle Precipice the next day. The walk back led us to a random miner in the swap, we took him back to the castle with us.
After refreshing ourselves properly for the evening, we travelled directly to the swamp cave, through the grasslands and managed to get there in good time. I think the better sleep did wonders for the trackers. We found an odd tomb just north east of Eagle Precipice and managed to go straight through the planes to the swamp cave.
We crept into the cave, and found the green dragon sleeping and managed to drop in on them.

After a short while, we heard noises behind and above us, it turns out that surrounding this cave was more of the plant creatures that had haunted us for the last several days.

It was tough, but we managed to take down the dragon. Their horde was extensive, we found many things that will become useful for later adventurers.
On our trip back to town, it seems like Fae’el had an itch to explore a little more so we travelled south east to a lake where apparently a dryad was waiting for a gift.
We then headed back home, where thankfully we’re getting closer to the birth of my library!
