Setting out from the Lake, we head to the Dragonman statue to stock up on potions from the fountain to prepare for the dungeon. Breaking tradition, we manage to go the correct way for a moment, before returning to form and getting horribly lost.
During our journey, we encounter some Nekkers, but come away mostly unscathed, we sleep the night and then make it into the mountains, and to the tomb. Keane gives Trell magical darkvision, and Rusty and Faeael scout ahead.
Fae’ael finds a couple of traps as we wind through the early passage ways. Rusty finds a dead body who seems to have been stabbed, but assumes it wasn’t a spear trap, because these walls are made of wall, not spears. Weird. We eventually stumble across a magical hammer, set on a tomb behind metal bars, latticed in a small enough grid that the hammer wouldn’t fit through. We could use the Wild Shapes to get through this, but we decide to come back to it, in case we need resources in the dungeon.
As we head deeper into the dungeon, Trell, passes the dead body, triggering spears that were hidden in the wall to shoot out. Rusty has a moment of hesitation as he realises what the others meant by spear trap.
Moving into a tomb at the end of the corridor, we are ambushed by 4 ghosties who wreck us horribly, within a round or two, Rusty and Keane are down, and the others are flustered, Healing isn’t working. They rush to engage the ghosts and take out those they can, before the ghosts can outright kill the downed characters.
After scraping ourselves off the floor, barely clinging to life, we attempt to rest bunkered down in the room. Our rest is of course interrupted by a corporeal evil thing. Keane summons a fire sphere, and rusty stuns it and knocks it down the hallway, where it ends up dead. We relocate and manage to rest.
As we delve deeper, we pick up the corpse from earlier, now named Lucas. He becomes our party rogue, to detect traps.
Florian throws the corpse at a variety of traps, triggering them with the corpse, as it slowly loses parts. One hallway we attempt to bowl the head down it’s length, inventing bowling.

At the end of a long hallway with no traps, is a door that leads to an ominous room. The room is an altar to the God of Dwarves and has some loot. Florian calls out to the Gods to resurrect Lucas. After a beat, it works. And Lucas is healed and resurrected, to everyone’s shock. He comes to, and tells us his name is Eddrick. He is a Rogue Retainer.
Keane reads the book from the Altar, and discovers a way into the Hammer Chamber through a floor tile, we go up there and use that passage to get in, uncovering the Hammer, and a large stack of wealth. The trip home is uneventful and calm. We return to town and tally our takings.
