After retrieving pure mountain water for the Lake Spirit, Crystal, she shared the location of a tomb of a former agent where we could find an artifact, a magicked flail (Devotee’s Censor) for Belreth to use in upcoming adventures After meeting with the new arrival Ilai (Il-eye), we wreaking tradition and did not get lost.
After meeting with Crystal and reaffirming our goals and destination, we began travel in earnest using the trail markers left behind from previous travel.
Take a rest for the night, we encountered and handily defeated 2 Ochre Jellies at night (during Rusty and Belreth’s watch).
Moving on the next day, we came upon a large branch that was broken by some kind of bird-like/creature with talons. Continuing we finally got lost onto the correct path, saving us the trouble of reorienting, and proceeded into the mountain tile of the [Name Pending] River.
On the way we encountered a badass warrior in black plate armor, Isabella the Dragonkiller. Trading some information, we learned that 1) to the north of the nearest high peak of mountains was a green dragon that she was searching for, as well as Griffons and Giantkin, 2) That she herself emerged here as well, but a year prior, and 3) She is travelling as a matter of glory and is not inclined to travel in groups. In a show of goodliness however, she gave directions to the waterfall, allowing us to begin our search for the Censor.
Arriving at the cave (hidden behind the waterfall), Fae’ael and Ilai scouted around the entrance of the cave and moved forward down a path finding a hidden room that only Ilai in their serval form could slink in and retrieve a hidden cache of money from a trapped chest. Much to everyone in the session’s surprise Ilai, still in their feline form, opened the chest and returned with Fae’ael to the group.
Taking another path, we reached the end the cave where we found the casket of Crystal’s agent with a state at its head
The area however was warded against all manner of otherworldly beings, thus ironically preventing Belrith (but not the most elf eldarin, Ilai) from approaching even after magical attempts to broach the ward. Regardless we begin to search the area to understand it and if there were any traps. Rusty recovered a Ring of Light on the statue, and he and Florian finally moved to open the casket.
Upon the casket was inscribed: Herein lies Maria. A prelate of Saint Llewellyn who safeguarded the people of Dawnfield during its founding. May her soul find its way home from here, the place of her appearance.

While we were curious to the nature of the inscription we opened the casked, and without issue collected the Censor from Maria’s tomb and gave it to the awaiting Belrith. As we were taking the opportunity to rest within a relatively safe location, a booming voice of clear power echoed from the cave, approaching. We prepared for combat but did not expect the arrival of an Angel. The Angel was named Astraios, Arbiter of the Stars, and he came to test us and our friendship. After Belrith supported us and some very close calls, we passed the Arbiter’s trial and we rewarded with our lives and then some as he gave us a magical long rest.

Taking this all as a sign to not press our luck however, we decided to leave the tomb and follow the river back down, summarily getting lost on the way, but finding the home of the now deceased witch.
